Sabbath - Delight

Episode Summary

Are you tired? Weary? Worn out? Exhausted? We live in a culture where chronic low grade exhaustion has become the norm. But it doesn’t have to be this way. God created rest and modeled a rhythm of regular rest to us. The Bible calls it Sabbath, and it’s something Jesus regularly did. Sabbath is much deeper than just a day off, and it’s more enjoyable than maybe we’ve heard. In the third message of the current series, Pastor Chan discusses the essential truth that the Sabbath was designed by God as a day to experience joy and delight.

Episode Notes

In our third message on Sabbath, Pastor Chan discusses "delighting in the Lord," which is to find joy and pleasure in His presence. Some followers of Jesus may think of the Sabbath as a somber, serious day full of religious duty and legalistic rules whereas other may think of it as a day to chill, relax, or sleep. Either way, many miss the essential truth that the Sabbath was designed by God as a day to experience joy and delight.
